A 45-year-old North Bend woman was behind the wheel of a car that crashed through the wall of a Redmond day care center Monday afternoon, Aug. 31.

The accident happened just after 4 p.m. Monday at the private day care, located in an apartment building across the street from the main Microsoft campus.

While the accident is still under investigation by Redmond Police Department, officers believe that the car, a Toyota RAV-4, had apparently went into motion from a stopped position, crashing halfway through an outer wall and into the infant room of the center. Seven children, between the ages of three and nine months, were inside the room. Three infants had minor injuries and were sent to hospitals in Seattle and Bellevue as a precaution.

Police spoke to the woman, then allowed her to go home.
