North Bend is accepting applications to fill vacant city council seat

Residents interest in serving on council can submit an application until Nov. 9.

The North Bend City Council has announced it will begin accepting applications to fill an open council position.

The No. 4 position was left open by longtime councilmember Ross Loudenback, who resigned in July after moving outside of city limits. Whoever the council selects would serve out the remainder of Loudenback’s term, which expires in 2025.

To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, registered voters, and have lived in North Bend for at least a year.

Applications are available on the city’s website, bit.ly/3ZWpims. They are due by 4 p.m. Nov. 9. The council expects to appoint a replacement on Nov. 14
