North Bend invites applications to restructured Economic Development Commission

The city of North Bend is seeking applicants to fill multiple vacancies on its Business and Economic Development Commission, for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2019 and Dec. 31, 2020.

The city of North Bend is seeking applicants to fill multiple vacancies on its Business and Economic Development Commission, for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2019 and Dec. 31, 2020.

The recently restructured commission now consists of five members and is responsible for providing recommendations to the City Council for North Bend’s economic growth and development, based upon specific work plans or projects as assigned by the City Council. The commission will meet on an as needed basis; meetings are expected to be Thursday mornings approximately once a month.

At least two members of the commission must be city residents. One member will be a city council member. The final two members are not required to live within the city but must work or have ownership in a business in the city.

Qualified applicants interested in serving the on this commission can submit applications to the City of North Bend, Attn: City Clerk, PO Box 896, North Bend, WA 98045. Applications are due by June 17.
