North Bend dog dials 911 after stepping on the phone | Snoqualmie Valley police blotter

Doggie dialer: At 3:02 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27, police received a 911 call from the 1000 block of Southeast Symmons Place, North Bend, but no one was on the line. Police eventually spoke to a resident, who said her dog must have dialed 911 when he stepped on the phone.

Sunday, Oct. 26

Stuck: At 5:12 p.m., an officer patrolling S.R. 202 spotted a driver in difficulty at a new trailhead in Snoqualmie. The vehicle had been turning around, but got stuck when a tire slid into the ditch. The officer pulled the grateful driver out.

Monday, Oct. 27

Thursday, Oct. 30

Car prowl: At 3:11 p.m., a caller in the 400 block of Stow Avenue South, North Bend, reported that someone broke into his vehicle, stole things, and damaged the ignition. Several vehicles in the parking lot had been prowled.

Friday, Oct. 31

Just short: At 4:53 a.m., employees of a store in the 400 block of East North Bend Way, North Bend, called police about a shirtless man acting odd and scaring people. He was 14 cents short for an item he wanted to buy. The store sold it to him anyway, and police advised him to not come back without a shirt.

Sunday, Oct. 26

Accident: At 4:28 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car accident at Meadowbrook and North Bend Way.

Monday, Oct. 27

Alarm: At 9:17 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Falls Powerhouse for a fire alarm. It was a false alarm set off by a malfunctioning pole station.

Medical calls: In addition, EMTs responded to seven medical incidents, for an annual total call count of 964.

Thursday, Oct. 23

Overdose: At 12:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a 21-year-old man with an overdose. Bellevue paramedics also saw the patient. He was treated and transported to an area hospital via the medic unit.

Nosebleed: At 2:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a 73-year-old woman with an uncontrolled nose bleed. They controlled the bleeding and left her at home.

Friday, Oct. 24

Car accident: At 11:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a single-car accident. One patient was extricated from his vehicle and transported to an area hospital.

Pain: At 3:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a 49-year-old man with back pain. He was treated and transported to Swedish of Issaquah via private ambulance.

Pain: At 4:13 p.m., firefighters responded to a 77-year-old man with chest pain. He was also seen by a paramedic unit from Bellevue Fire. The man was given an exam and allowed to stay at home in his wife’s care.

Saturday, Oct. 25

Burn pile: At 5:45 p.m., firefighters responded to a burn complaint. The burn pile was found to be legal.

Downed lines: At 10:18 p.m., firefighters responded to tree branches that had fallen into power lines. The roadway was secured, and the power company was notified.

Power lines: At 11:12 p.m., firefighters responded to a tree that had fallen into power lines and onto a house. The utility company was notified of the circumstance.

Sunday, Oct. 26

Heart: At 9:13 a.m., firefighters responded to an 84-year-old woman with a rapid heart rate. She was also seen by a paramedic unit from Bellevue Fire. The patient was treated and transported to Overlake Hospital via the medic unit.

Monday, Oct. 27

Structure fire: At 3:53 a.m., firefighters responded to a residential structure fire.  The fire was extinguished.

Heart problem: At 9:16 a.m., firefighters responded to a 74-year-old man with a heart issue. The patient was also seen by a paramedic unit from Bellevue Fire. The patient left the scene after evaluation.

Tuesday, Oct. 28

Faintness: At 7:42 a.m., firefighters responded to a 61-year-old woman who was feeling faint. She was treated and transported by private ambulance to Swedish Hospital in Issaquah.

Gas leak: At 1:55 p.m., firefighters responded to a natural gas leak in a residence. The leak was secured by the power company.

Weakness: At 7:24 p.m., firefighters responded to a 60 year old male with general weakness. The patient was given an exam and transported to Swedish of Issaquah via the Fall City Fire aid car.

Wednesday, Oct. 29

Faintness: At 1:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a 12-year-old boy experiencing a syncopal episode. He was treated and was left in a nurse’s custody.
