No Kings rallies on June 14 include North Bend

Rallies were held across King County and the nation June 14 in response to the federal government’s policies and as well as its recent handling of protests in Los Angeles.

An organization called No Kings mobilized the demonstrations to coincide with President Donald Trump’s scheduled military parade in Washington, D.C. Its website at nokings.org allowed users to search for a demonstration near their zip code.

North Bend’s rally was held at North Bend Way and Park Street.

The website describes No Kings Day as “a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.”
