NB planning for parks’ future

North Bend residents at a Parks Commission Meeting in late May told city employees that additional open space and new trail construction should be higher priorities than new facilities for existing parks or trails, according to Mike McCarty, a city planner.

The city is iupdating its parks comprehensive plan, which must be done every seven years to be eligible for state grants.

The commission will consider comments from residents and other input before submitting a proposed update to the city council later this summer.
