Mount Si Lions speakers talk about Kansas tornado relief, tonight

The Mount Si Lions Club will host Renton Lions Anne and Tom Smarsh, who will be giving a presentation on the Lions Alert Program. The Mount Si Lions Club meeting is 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Boxley’s Jazz Club, North Bend.

Lions Clubs are continually involved in disaster relief around the world. The Lions ALERT program strives to provide specific direction to the 46,000 Lions clubs globally and help them to be more efficient in providing short and long term support to disaster victims.

The presentation will focus on the Greenburg, Kan., tornado disasters and how Lions clubs in Kansas provided disaster relief.
