The portable classrooms which sat outside of Mount Si High School were moved to the high school’s Freshman Campus last Thursday, to clear the way for construction of the new high school buildings.

Using a massive crane, the moving crew lifted each of the classroom units off of its supports and on to a loading truck. The units were moved to the Freshman Campus, but won’t be installed and reconnected to the school’s electrical and other systems until this week. The portables will be sited behind the main school building.

Some of the portable classrooms will be used for the district’s Parent Partnership Program, which gives homeschooling parents a chance to partner with certified teachers and develop learning plans and curriculum for their students, and holds two classes each week for homeschooled students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
