Micro-quake ‘shakes’ Snoqualmie Valley from 15 miles below North Bend

A 1.4-magnitude earthquake Tuesday evening caused little in the way of excitement or damage in the North Bend area. The quake occurred a 8:19 p.m., about 1.5 miles west-southwest of North Bend's Riverbend neighborhood.

A seismologist report on the quake indicated that it occurred about 15 miles underground.

Earthquakes of less than 2.0 magnitude are generally very short in duration, and are considered micro-earthquakes.
