Local memorial service planned for Emanuel Vardi

A memorial service for renowned North Bend artist and musician Emanuel Vardi is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Westminster Chapel's Fireside Room, 13646 NE 24th, Bellevue, WA 98005.

A memorial service for renowned North Bend artist and musician Emanuel Vardi is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Westminster Chapel’s Fireside Room, 13646 NE 24th, Bellevue.

Vardi died Saturday, Jan. 29, at his home in North Bend, at the age of 95.

He enjoyed a long, varied, and much-distinguished career as a musician, winning acclaim with his skills in piano, violin and viola; and as a composer, producer, and painter.

Locally, Emanuel and his wife Lenore are known for their involvement with the 2010 Snoqualmie Valley Chamber Music Festival, and the Laurel Tree Gallery in Duvall which displays many of their works.
