Jump fatal for hiker on Mount Si

On March 10 at 12:16 a.m., 34-year-old Masako Ota of Bellevue reportedly jumped from an undisclosed area on Mount Si. The manner of death was ruled a suicide.

Her body received lacerations on multiple internal organs and fractures on her ribs and bones. The King County Medical Examiner’s officer reported that her husband had said she was depressed.
