The forests of the Pacific Northwest will give way to the sands and seas of “South Pacific,” in this season’s open-air performance by the Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theater.

Performances of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic are 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays, July 19 through Aug. 31. The musical, which marks the 43rd season of outdoor theater at Fall City, is directed by Roger Westberg, with musical direction by Dawn Brazel and choreography by Roy Arauz.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and students and $8 for children. For tickets, call (425) 736-7252.

Barbecue steak, chicken, or salmon dinners will also be served at evening performances. Cost is $16 for adults, $9 for children ages 6 to 12, or $5 for a hot dog. Reservations are required.

Visitors can also tour the walking trails at the outdoor venue. Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theater is located at 36800 S.E. David Powell Road in Fall City.

Benefit concert helps injured woman

Local bands and community members will come together at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 19, for a benefit concert to help a woman critically injured in a car accident.

Jane Raymond is slowly on her way to recovery, but residents can help support her at the concert, planned at Isadora’s Books and Cafe, 8062 Railroad Ave. in downtown Snoqualmie.

Bands Zone B and Latest Disaster will play, and beer, wine, organic coffee and dessert will be served. Donations will be taken at the door. For more information, call Isadora’s at (425) 888-1345.

Clothing, donations accepted at QFC

The Northwest Center is accepting donations of re-usable clothing and household items at the North Bend QFC, located at 460 E. North Bend Way. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, at the big blue truck parked in the lot.

Donations are tax deductible and support the Northwest Center’s mission of expanding the skills, independence and opportunities of children and adults with disabilities.
