Wine-tasting

benefit planned

Thirty-two Northwest wineries will pour their finest wines at the brand-new Sip of Snoqualmie wine-tasting event on Saturday, March 14, at the Snoqualmie Casino.

The wineries include Pleasant Hill Cellars of the Fall City/Carnation area. Pleasant Hill is delighted to be part of Sip, particularly because many of the participating wineries are increasingly looking to create new varietals, push the envelope and try new things, said winery representative Dan Williams.

“More and more wineries in this state are getting into different varietals. It’s becoming something of a niche,” he said.

Tickets to Sip of Snoqualmie are $50 apiece, with VIP tickets at $150. All proceeds will go to Encompass, the organization for children and families in the Snoqualmie Valley. Early ticket purchases are advised, as the event is on its way to selling out.

To purchase tickets, and for more information, call Encompass at 425-888-2777 or visit www.encompassnw.org.
