North Bend yard waste program back in business

The city of North Bend is bringing back its yard waste recycling program for 2008.

Yard waste will be accepted from 8 a.m. to noon on most Saturdays of the year at the North Bend Public Works facility at 1155 E. North Bend Way. Dates of operation include April 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 31, June 14, 28, July 12, 26, August 2, 16, 23, September 6, 13, 20, 27 and October 4, 11 and 18.

A copy of a North Bend utility bill is required to participate. Accepted yard waste includes grass, weeds, leaves, branches and tree limbs up to three inches in diameter and three feet long. Items that aren’t accepted include large branches, sod, dirt, stumps, manure, trash, construction debris, rocks, concrete, or plastic bags. The city asks that participants bring their waste in a reusable container paper bag or cardboard box that can be recycled. To find out more, call North Bend Public Works at (425) 888-0486.
