Greenway offers volunteer events

The Mountains to Sound Greenway is offering residents a way to get outdoors and volunteer this winter.

Every Saturday, Mountains to Sound is hosting multiple volunteer events throughout the region. Join other volunteers for trail maintenance and the removal of invasive plant species at parks in North Bend, Squak Mountain and other areas. Events usually run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with half day options also available. Upcoming events include ivy removal on Saturday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, March 7 at Riverfront Park in North Bend. No experience is required. Sign-up at www.mtsgreenway.org or call (206) 812-0122.
