Food bank holds community sale

The Food and Friendship Ministry at Valley Christian Assembly in Fall City is holding a community-wide garage sale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 9, 10 and 11 at the church, 32725 S.E. 42nd St. in Fall City. Visitors can find the sale by following the signs near Fall City Elementary School and the Fall City Library. All proceeds help the food bank. The sale helps expand deliveries to include more families in need. The food pantry is funded by members of the church, along with donations by local businesses. Weekly deliveries are made after church on Sundays. Shoppers can find new, nearly new and one-of-a-kind items. Donations toward the ministry are also appreciated. Romance is theme of Encompass gala

Valentine’s Day in San Francisco, a romantic getaway to a resort at Lake Tahoe, or sharing Seattle Seahawks Club seats and a sideline tour with your sweetheart are just a few of more than 250 ways that Encompass will encourage Snoqualmie Valley residents to “Fall in Love” with their upcoming gala and benefit. The organization’s sixth annual Autumn Gala is Saturday, Nov. 1, at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club.

“The generous support that is demonstrated each year at the Autumn Gala is so clearly a vital part of what makes Encompass such a cherished organization in the Valley,” said Encompass Executive Director Gregory Malcolm.
