Police recovered the body of a 36-year-old Redmond woman found Tuesday, Oct. 12, on a cliff face at Snoqualmie Falls.

According to Snoqualmie police reports, Isabella M. Zampino had been reported missing Thursday, Oct. 7, by her parents.

Family members found Zampino’s car Monday at the Falls, but police were unable to locate her there. Officers received a call Tuesday from a Puget Sound Energy employee who spotted a body on a rocky ledge below the temporary observation deck. The ledge is out of sight from watchers on the Falls precipice.

Police Spokeswoman Becky Munson said Zampino did not fall all the way to the Falls floor.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death as blunt-force trauma to the body, but was still investigating whether Zampino’s fall was accidental or intentional.
