Holiday tree drop-off, pick up in Snoqualmie

Scouts, city help with tree cleanup

Christmas is over, and it’s time to dispose of that old Christmas tree. Snoqualmie residents can dispose of trees at two events this Saturday, Jan. 9.

Pick up

Local Boy Scouts will be collecting trees throughout Snoqualmie. Trees must be left in driveways by 8 a.m.; a donation of $10 is suggested, with checks made payable to BSA Troop 425. Residents are asked to place the donation in an envelope and attach it to the base of the tree with a rubber band. Flocked trees, tinsel, decorations and tree nails will not be accepted.

Drop-Off

Holiday trees may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the old Weyerhaeuser Mill site (38800 S.E. Mill Pond Rd). This service is provided free of charge by the Snoqualmie Parks & Recreation Department. There will be directional A-boards along the route to follow.

At the intersection of State Route 202 and Snoqualmie Parkway, head toward Snoqualmie Falls; turn right onto Mill Pond Road immediately after crossing the bridge; turn left at 0.1 miles; turn right at 0.4 miles; turn right at 0.2 miles.

Residents should not drop trees at the King Street parking lot.
