Hawks, Harris leading in Carnation City Council races, according to preliminary results

Final results will become certified Nov. 26.

King County Elections released preliminary election results around 8:15 p.m., Nov. 5. Of 1,329,717 registered voters, 312,930 ballots were counted.

Three Carnation City Council positions were up for grabs. Dustin Green ran for Pos. 5 unopposed and received 233 votes, or 99.57 percent of the vote.

Position 1

For Pos. 1, Adair Hawkins garnered 53.31 percent (161) of the vote, while Michael Flowers received 46.69 percent (141) of the vote, according to preliminary results.

The position saw 302 voters cast ballots.

Position 3

For Pos. 3, Tim Harris received 55.03 percent (175) of the vote, while Tracey Yeager Blackburn gathered 44.97 percent (143) of the vote, according to preliminary results.

The position saw 318 voters cast ballots.

Ballots were due to King County by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Final results will be certified on Nov. 26.
