Valley families who’d like to own their home can start the journey toward becoming homeowners, at upcoming informational meetings by Habitat for Humanity of East King County.

Habitat for Humanity is seeking families for two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in Snoqualmie, Issaquah and possibly Carnation.

Families must attend one of the information meetings to get an application packet.

Meetings are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the North Bend Library, 115 East Fourth St., North Bend; 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 and 11 a.m., Sept. 20 at the Snoqualmie Library, 7824 Center Blvd. S.E., Snoqualmie.

Upper Valley residents are given preference for homes in Snoqualmie.

Among elegibility rules for Habitat’s homeownership program, applicants must live or work in King County for at least one year at time of application.
