Grinchy thefts, last-minute shoplifting: Snoqualmie Valley police, fire calls

Last-minute shoplifting: At 3:12 p.m. on Christmas eve, the manager of a store in North Bend reported seeing a man walk out the front door with four handbags that he hadn't bothered to pay for.

Saturday, Dec. 24

Grinchy theft: At 8:47 p.m., victims of a theft called police to the 43000 block of Southeast North Bend Way, where their vehicle had been entered and all of the Christmas gifts inside had been stolen.

Last-minute shoplifting: At 3:12 p.m., the manager of a store in the 600 block of South Fork Avenue Southwest reported seeing a man walk out the front door of the store carrying four stolen handbags.

Monday, Dec. 18

Snowmobiles stolen: At 5:52 p.m., a caller reported a theft from the driveway of a home in the 13000 block of 432 Avenue Southeast. The suspect(s) had taken a trailer with two snowmobiles from the driveway where they were parked.

Sunday, Dec. 17

Gas siphoned: At 5:30 p.m., a truck driver called police to report that someone had siphoned 50 gallons of fuel from his semi-truck. The vehicle had been parked in the 44700 block of Southeast North Bend Way, in a storage lot for the trucks.

Fall City Fire District

Tuesday, Dec. 27

Seizure: At 6:28 p.m., Fall City emergency medical technicians (EMTs) responded to the 29200 block of Southeast Eighth Street for a 38-year-old woman who had a seizure. After an evaluation, she was left at the scene in the care of family members.

Sunday, Dec. 25

Seizure: At 9:31 p.m., EMTs responded to the 5800 block of Southeast Preston-Fall City Road for a 65-year-old woman who had experienced a seizure.  After an evaluation, she was taken to the hospital in an aid car.

Saturday, Dec. 24

Chest pain: At 3:03 p.m., EMTs responded to the 33500 block of Southeast Redmond-Fall City Road for a 54-year-old woman who was experiencing chest pains. After an evaluation, she needed a transport to Issaquah.

Friday, Dec. 23

Breathing problem: At 8:16 pm., EMTs responded to the 4900 block of 335th Avenue Southeast for a 60-year-old woman experiencing some difficulty breathing. She was transported by aid car to an area hospital.

Thursday, Dec. 22

Car accident: At 6:10 p.m., firefighters and EMTs responded to the area of Redmond-Fall City Road and Milepost 19 for a two-car motor vehicle accident. After triaging the scene for injuries, EMTs found one injured child, who was taken to an area hospital by a parent.

Allergic reaction: At 5:33 p.m., EMTs responded to the 6500 block of Railroad Avenue for a 40-year-old woman with an allergic reaction. After evaluating the reaction, she was released under her own care.

Odd smell: At 5:07 p.m., firefighters responded to the 33600 block of Southeast 47th Street for a report of a strange smell in a residence. The firefighters could not see or smell anything.

Chest pains: At 8:58 a.m., EMTs and Bellevue Paramedics responded to the 33300 block of Southeast 43rd Street for an 86-year-old woman who was complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath. She was treated and transported by paramedics to an area hospital for immediate care.

Structure fire: At 2:45 a.m., firefighters from multiple agencies responded to the 8300 block of 293rd Avenue Southeast in Preston for a residential structure fire.  Upon the first unit’s arrival, heavy smoke and flame were seen. Due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area, water had to be shuttled in to the scene to douse the flames. The cause is being investigated by the fire marshall.
