Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) and Northwest Spay & Neuter Center (NWSNC) have teamed up to offer more low-cost animal spay and neuter surgeries for south King County residents.

On Friday, Oct. 16, RASKC will host NWSNC’s Animal Shuttle program. Owners and their unsterilized animals will be met at the King County Pet Adoption Center in Kent. After owners complete some paperwork and a brief intake interview, their pets will be loaded into carriers for the short ride to NWSNC’s Tacoma spay/neuter center. The animals will have their surgical procedures performed there, and be held overnight for recovery and monitoring. The pets will be taken back to Kent the next day and released to their owners at the Pet Adoption Center. Schedule an appointment by calling 253-627-SPAY (7729).

Fees for the surgery are:

  • Male cats $35
  • Female cats $55
  • Male dogs $75 to $115
  • Female dogs $85 to $130

Financial assistance may be available to residents who qualify. Microchips, parasite control, and vaccinations will also be available at the time of surgery for an additional fee.
