The organization recruits and coordinates essential services designed to allow seniors to remain in their homes by providing transportation and routine home maintenance.

“Eastside Friends is an essential part of our community,” said McKenna. “The agency gives seniors the ability to remain in their homes and avoid the high cost of moving to an assisted living facility.”

The free services of Eastside Friends are available to any person aged 62 years or over living in Sammamish, Issaquah, the Snoqualmie Valley and Bellevue. There are no restrictions based on income.

The luncheon will begin at noon and is scheduled to conclude by 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m..
