The United Way Free Tax Preparation Campaign runs through April 15. This program helps lower-income individuals and families secure all the refunds and credits that they’re eligible for, including the Earned Income Tax Credit.

The service is for households that earn less than $52,000 per year, with tax returns that do not involve business taxes, rental income, or sale of property or stocks. The program is especially helpful for people who aren’t sure which deductions they qualify for, whose first language isn’t English, or who have trouble because of a disability or other challenge. The service is free with no hidden costs or fees.
