Former Tolt middle school student sentenced for threats

A 12-year-old former Tolt Middle School student pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday, March 17, in King County Juvenile Court for threatening students and members of his family.

A 12-year-old former Tolt Middle School student pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday, March 17, in King County Juvenile Court for threatening students and members of his family.

Judge Helen Halpert sentenced the boy to at least one year of incarceration, which, according to prosecutors, is an exceptional sentence above the standard range.

The youth pleaded guilty to felony harassment and misdemeanor harassment for threatening two students at school, according to prosecutor’s reports. He also pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and harassment for choking his sister, and felony harassment for threatening members of his family.
