The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association is holding its annual fundraising pancake breakfast Saturday, Aug. 20 during Snoqualmie’s Railroad Days celebration. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 S.E. Snoqualmie Parkway.

The event includes a firefighter-cooked pancake and ham breakfast as well as Krispy Kreme donuts, Starbucks coffee, orange juice and other beverages, served in the apparatus and equipment bay at the fire station. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than 5.

A raffle and silent auction will be part of the event, too. Raffle tickets are $2 each, available for prizes donated by local businesses. Several special items will be sold in the silent auction, including a golfing foursome at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, an overnight stay for two at the Salish Lodge and a half-day rally experience at DirtFish Rally School. T-shirts and bike helmets will also be available for purchase.

This year the breakfast is continuing the association’s commitment of going “green.” The association will partner with Waste Management to hold a “zero waste” event, using recyclable and compostable items.

The non-profit association helps support Snoqualmie Fire Department special equipment purchases as well as community events, public safety and fire education, human services assistance, high school educational scholarships in the health and fire sciences, historic preservation of Snoqualmie’s original Engine 1 and charitable organizations in the community.
