Fire Chief Correira earns Chief Fire Officer designation

Snoqualmie's fire Chief Mark Correira has been awarded the professional designation "Chief Fire Officer" by the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

Snoqualmie’s fire Chief Mark Correira has been awarded the professional designation “Chief Fire Officer” by the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

With the designation awarded on July 15, 2016, Chief Correira joins the small group of only 1,175 with the title.

In a press release from the city, Snoqualmie City Administrator Bob Larson, spoke highly of Chief Correira for earning this award.

“I commend Mark for his dedication to the fire profession and our organization,” said Bob Larson, City Administrator. “His commitment to earning this designation is outstanding.”

Chief Correira was originally designated on June 15, 2013 and successfully completed the re-designation process for 2016. To maintain designation, applicants must show progress as leaders in professional development, professional contribution,s active association membership and community involvement.
