On July 2, Carmichael’s True Value Hardware store in Snoqualmie along Falls Avenue South became the impromptu setting for a scene in the movie “Dark Horse.” Filmed in front of the store after the crew drove by the location and thought it a perfect setting, the locally-produced drama about a family dealing with an ailing father is set on Orcas Island. The scene filmed in front of Carmichael’s involves two arguing brothers who make a trip to the hardware store and end up making peace with each other. It was also the last shot of the five-week shoot.

Though the movie does not yet have a distributor, it is expected to be released within the next year. For more information, visit www.thedarkhorsemovie.com.
