Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27

Bring unwanted pills and patches for safe disposal.

The Snoqualmie Police Department will participate in Drug Take Back Day this weekend.

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27 at the Snoqualmie Fire Station.

The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

Bring pills or patches for disposal. No liquids, needles and sharps will be accepted. The take back day is a safe way to dispose of prescription drugs. Flushing drugs down the toilet or throwing them away in the trash can pose potential safety and health hazards.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), last spring nearly 475 tons of prescription drugs were turned in at more than 5,800 sites operated by the DEA and nearly 4,700 sites from state and local law enforcement partners.
