Concerned about billings by an engineering firm working for the city of Snoqualmie, a Snoqualmie Ridge developer hired an attorney to challenge the issue before the Snoqualmie City Council during its Monday, Jan. 14, meeting.

Representing Ridge developer Mark McDonald of Northwest Capital Corp., attorney Alan Wallace of the Seattle firm Williams Kastner told the council that his client has “serious concerns” about the billing practices of Perteet Inc., an Everett-based company that performs civil engineering plan reviews and inspection services on behalf of the city.

“An investigation of Perteet’s billing practices is being conducted by two professional public works engineers at this time,” Wallace said. “There is an intent to present this information to the state auditor’s office for a performance review.”
