Several businesses along Tolt Ave will be participating in a progressive dinner following the tree lighting, starting at Carnation Corners.

Holiday events continue the following week. The Chamber hosts a free holiday social at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Carnation Corners. Appetizers, desserts and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided; guests are welcome to bring food and drink to share.

This year, Eastside Fire and Rescue’s Reindeer Engine will come to Carnation twice, for the tree lighting Dec. 5 and a toy drive, 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, also at Tolt Commons Park. Drop off your donation of a new, unwrapped toy, for children up to 18 years old at the event, and see the Reindeer Engine while you’re there.
