The Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a mayoral and council candidate forum at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at Mount Si High School, giving candidates a last minute chance to make their case to voters ahead of the Nov. 2 general election.
There are only two competitive races among Snoqualmie and North Bend: The mayoral race between councilmembers Katherine Ross and Peggy Shepard, and one council race between incumbent Matt Laase and challenger Tanya Lavoy.
Anna Sotelo, who had filed to run against incumbent Bryan Holloway, told the Valley Record that she decided to suspend her campaign efforts to focus on volunteering. The two remaining candidates running for Snoqualmie City Council, and all three candidates running for North Bend City Council, are running unopposed.
William Shaw, the general manager of the Snoqualmie Valley Record, will serve as the forum’s moderator.
