Chamber seeks new director; Rudd takes Si View position

The Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce is back in the hunt for a new executive director.

The Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce is back in the hunt for a new executive director.

Current director Minna Rudd, tapped as director after the departure of Karen Granger, is leaving to work as recreation coordinator for Si View Metro Parks District.

Prior to her promotion two months ago, Rudd was office manager chamber, a position she held since 2005.

Chamber President Steve Rackets said that, while Rudd’s departure was unexpected, the organization is glad to see Rudd take an opportunity to work in wellness and fitness, her lifelong passion.

“We were looking forward to Minna serving an extended term as our executive director, so this is a surprise,” Rackets said. “We will reopen a search, but the silver lining is that the search that resulted in hiring Minna is so recent that we are well-versed in the qualities we will be seeking in her successor.

“I know that our board and membership wish Minna nothing but the best at Si View and will look forward to working with her,” he added.

Rackets said the chamber will be seeking top-notch leadership and organizational skills in the next executive director, as well as an understanding of how to execute the chamber’s mission: “to promote and maintain a healthy economic environment within the community.”

Anyone wishing to apply for the job can send a resume and cover letter to the chamber at 8051 Falls Ave. S.E., suite 2A, Snoqualmie WA 98065, or via e-mail to the chamber office at director@snovalley.org.
