Celebrate Tilth on Sept. 17

Barking Frog Restaurant Pastry Chef Christina Longo (left) and Willows Lodge Banquet Chef George Stevenson (right) will be preparing a fundraising buffet in Carnation to benefit the SnoValley Tilth, a local agriculture group.
The public is invited to attend this fundraising event on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the SnoValley Senior Center in Carnation. This feast of local, mostly organically-produced food, will create a vision of how delicious "eating close to home" can be, with most ingredients traveling no further than 15 miles from farm to table.
* Tickets are available in advance from SnoValley Tilth through its Web site at www.snovalleytilth.org, at the information booth at the Carnation Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 3-7 p.m., or by calling (425) 333-6886. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for seniors and children under 12.
