These are highly sought after positions, which are appointed following a rigorous interview process.

District 1 includes all schools from Cedarcrest to Ferndale in the north.

Each year the District 1 FFA elects six outstanding individuals to serve on the officer team, to promote the FFA, agriculture, and agricultural education. The officers are in charge of organizing many events throughout the year.

After being elected Benson commented “As a member of the District 1 Officer Team, I believe my role will not only be as a representative for the multitude of members and alumni in our district, but also as an advocate for the future of agriculture among our local community.”

On Saturday April 23, the group also participated in Duvall’s Arbor Day festival, handing out free trees to plant and treats to the Duvall community. The trees were crab apple, grand fir, mock orange, and pea rose seedlings. They also helped plant trees at McCormick Park.

FFA Treasurer Rylie Goodrich said, “I had a great time helping out. What a fun way to spend Earth day by giving back to our planet and community.”
