Casino, KISW, to hold benefit for fallen officers

Snoqualmie Casino announced today its sponsorship of KISW Salutes the Shield benefit, to be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Snoqualmie Casino Ballroom and benefiting the Lakewood Police Independent Guild.

A number of iconic rock musicians have signed on to support the cause, including Queensryche and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses. The special evening will also include a silent auction featuring exciting items such as trips to see the bands and autographed guitars.

The KISW Salutes the Shield benefit is a response to the tragic deaths of four Lakewood police officers who were killed Nov. 29 in an ambush at a local coffee shop as they prepared for their shift that day. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the guild.

“Since we made mention of this tragic news the outpouring cry of support to the local police in Western Washington has been overwhelming,” said Dave Richards, KISW station manager. “We wanted to do something that shows pure appreciation to these brave men and women.”

Tickets are $20, sold through Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Seating is general admission, no chairs. For more information visit www.snocasino.com.
