It all began with the kids. The younger set ran down main street in the Run for the Pies, raised the flag with a heartfelt salute, and rode in red, white and blue to kick off the Grand Parade—all a Grand Carnation Fourth of July tradition. The colors of the fiesta were on display with the Ixtapa dancing horses, dancers and Mariachi players, among a number of live-music entries culminating in a grand party and fireworks at Tolt-MacDonald Park Thursday evening.
