Carnation celebrates Independence Day

The little town of Carnation grew several sizes Monday, as hundreds of people from other communities joined the city's annual celebration of Independence Day.

The little town of Carnation grew several sizes Monday, as hundreds of people from other communities joined the city’s annual celebration of Independence Day.

“We come here every year,” said Mackenzie Dial, a Woodinville teen spending the day in Carnation with her dad and Bernese Mountain Dog Lucy. “We love it.”

The Fourth in Carnation is a tradition for families from around the region, all of whom enjoyed the mostly-rain-free day, the live music going on throughout the city, food, fun and games, capped off by the annual fireworks display.
