Bussiness group holds Valley ‘Employee of Quarter’ contest

Do you have one of the best employees in the Valley deserving of some recognition? Keep It Local Snoqualmie Valley, a networking group of local business owners, wants to hear from you.

Keep it Local is looking for owners, managers and supervisors in the Valley to nominate outstanding employees to its second-ever Employee of the Quarter Award. From those nominations, Keep it Local will choose three winners who will all be presented with a $250 award.

Alicia Messa, president of the group and owner of Messa Group Real Estate, said the contest is an effort to give back and give employers a chance to appreciate the hard work their employees are doing during a time when workers are hard to come by.

“Right now it’s such a struggle to keep employees and keep morale up,” she said. “Hopefully [the contest is] getting employers thinking about other ways they can make their employees feel appreciated because it’s been a rough couple of years. I think we all feel a little beat up.”

The contest is open to all businesses located in the Snoqualmie Valley and for its second iteration has been expanded to include Carnation, Duvall and the Snoqualmie Pass.

Employers have until June 10 to submit nominations, which can be submitted here: bit.ly/3KHAslG.
