Thursday, July 14

Truck fire: At 11:07 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to a possible semi‐truck fire at Tiger Mountain Summit. When the crew arrived, they found the truck had overheated its brakes but showed no sign of fire.

Saturday, July 16

Alarm: At 4:18 a.m., firefighters responded to a residential fire alarm. The crew arrived and spoke with the owners, who were outside. They said the alarm had gone off once but then stopped and didn’t sound again. Crew members checked the house but found no smoke or heat and nothing unusual with the detectors. They advised the owners to change the system batteries and to vacuum the detectors.

Monday, July 18

Two-car-fire: At 5:51 p.m., the department was dispatched along with Eastside Fire & Rescue units to a motor vehicle accident and car fire on eastbound I‐90 at Hwy 18. Both cars involved in the accident were on fire and firefighters extinguished the flames in both cars.

Oven trouble: At 8:48 p.m., firefighters assisted a homeowner on Crestview Loop with a faulty appliance. The resident said she tried to turn the oven off, but it stayed on. Firefighters shut off the gas to the oven and unplugged it, advising the woman to call for repairs.

Tuesday, July 19

Alarm: At 1:08 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to a general fire alarm at the Salish Lodge. They determined that a hotel guest had started a fire in his room without opening the flue. Staff used fans to remove smoke from the room and the hallway, and the alarm was reset.

Kitchen alarm: At 5:35 p.m., firefighters responded to an automatic fire alarm at TPC Golf Course. They found that the alarm had been set off by someone cooking, and reset the system.

Wednesday, July 20

False alarm: At 2:13 a.m., the department got a call from a neighbor in Aspen Village Condos, reporting an alarm was sounding next door. The crew arrived and found the alarm sounding but no fire.

Alarm: At 12:30 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for a reported automatic fire alarm. Maintenance staff told firefighters that they were working on the system and handled it themselves.

Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 16 medical aid incidents, bringing the total calls to date to 610.

Friday, July 15

Stroke: At 10:49 a.m., Fall City firefighters were called to the 2200 block of 269 Court S.E. to assist a 77-year-old man who was experiencing stroke-like symptoms. He was evaluated and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Short of breath: At 10:12 p.m., firefighters assisted a 73-year-old woman who was experiencing shortness of breath and chest pain. They evaluated the patient and transported her to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Saturday, July 16

Injured cyclist: At 2:17 p.m., firefighters responded to the 27100 block of the Duthie Hill Road for a report of an injured bicyclist. A 37-year-old woman was treated and transported to an area for further evaluation and treatment.

Drowning: At 4:32 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of drowning at the Snoqualmie River. Also responding were the King County Sheriff’s Office and Snoqualmie Fire Department. They transported a 32-year-old woman to the nearest boat launch, where a medic unit picked her up and transported her to Harborview Medical Center.

Tuesday, July 19

Broken arm: At 11:39 a.m., firefighters were called to assist a 7-year-old boy who’d broken his arm. They evaluated the child, then transported him to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Breathing trouble: At 2:17 p.m., the department responded to a report of a 10-month-old girl who was short of breath. They evaluated the girl and transported her to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Fall: At 6:09 p.m., firefighters assisted a 69-year-old man who had fallen and needed assistance getting up.

Wednesday, July 20

Lines down: At 10:07 a.m., firefighters were called to the intersection of 335th Place S.E. and S.E. 44th Place for a report of power lines down on the road. They determined that the wires were for cable and notified Comcast.
