Monday, July 18

Noise: At 11:54 p.m., a caller in S.E. Woody Creek Lane, Snoqualmie, reported a very loud house party nearby. Officers contacted the home owner, who promised to quiet things down.

Harassment: At 5:15 p.m., a man called police to his home on S.E. Fifth Street, North Bend, where he and his wife were being harassed by several people. The caller said the people claimed his wife had been driving erratically, and they followed her home. They were now refusing to leave. Police separated the people.

Deadly umbrella: At 5:19 p.m., a caller reported a man dressed all in black at S.E. Cedar Falls Way and Malone Grove Avenue S.E., North Bend, who was squatting over a bag that appeared to have a rifle barrel sticking out. The object was also suspected of being a samurai sword. When an officer contacted the subject, he turned out to be a juvenile with an umbrella.

Disturbance: At 9:27 p.m., a caller reported a woman creating a disturbance in the 400 block of S.W. Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend. She had been sitting at the location for nearly three hours and was throwing things in frustration. An officer contacted her and found that she was upset that her ride had never arrived. The officer gave her a courtesy lift to the Snoqualmie Casino.

Tuesday, July 19

Theft: At 2:12 p.m., a caller on S.E. Venn Street, Snoqualmie, reported that someone had siphoned gasoline out of his vehicle twice, for a total theft of approximately 60 gallons of fuel.

Wednesday, July 20

Cat in car: At 9:28 a.m. a caller reported that a cat was alone in a parked car in a gravel parking lot at Railroad and Meadowbrook in Snoqualmie. An officer checked on the cat and found that the windows had been left partially open and the cat seemed fine. He planned to check on the cat again later in the day.

Illegal parking: At 11:33 a.m., an officer cited a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant on Azalea Way S.E.

Saturday, July 23

Rollover accident: At 5:10 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue units to eastbound I‐90 at milepost 29, where a truck with trailer rollover accident was reported. Upon arrival, the crew contacted the driver, who’d been wearing a seatbelt, and his dog. Neither was injured in the accident.

Sunday, July 24

Gas leak: At 9 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a natural gas leak in a home on Douglas Avenue S.E. caused by a gas stove that had been left on. All occupants had been evacuated and they had opened most of the house’s windows and shut off the stove before leaving. None of them reported feeling ill. The home owner said one of the stove burners was left open, or in the on position for a short time. Firefighters didn’t smell a gas odor or detect any with the gas monitor. They checked the stove was working and told the occupants it was safe to go back inside.

Structure fire: At 5:13 p.m., the Snoqualmie firefighters and other units were called to Maple Avenue for a structure fire. On the way, firefighters saw a column of smoke and on arrival, they found heavy smoke coming from the door of an attached storage unit to a small one-story house. The house was unoccupied. Firefighters extinguished the flames, then checked the home for extension of the fire. They found the fire had extended into a wall and up to the attic, and extinguished that, as well. The fire investigator determined that the fire was probably ignited after a landscaper had burned some weeds near the structure.

Wednesday, July 27

House fire: At 3:07 p.m., firefighters responded to a house fire on S.E. 171 Street, in the Edgewick area of North Bend. They arrived to find a fully engulfed home. Because of its location and a lack of nearby fire hydrants, the building was determined to be a total loss and firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading. No one was injured. Cause of the fire is under investigation.

Smoke: At 4:12 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters got a report of a possible brush fire on S.E. Grouse Ridge Road. Callers in the area had reported smoke coming from the woods to the south of I‐90 near milepost 38. The responding unit found that smoke was from a nearby house fire, and there was no brush fire.

Drowning: At 4:15 p.m., crews from Snoqualmie, Eastside, Redmond and Bellevue Fire Departments, along with the King County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit responded to a report of a missing teenage girl near Scout Falls in a highly technical area of the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River, north of Ernie’s Grove. Crews located the group that was with the girl and then found the body of the girl. Swiftwater technicians recovered her body then worked their way downstream to remove her from the river in a process that took more than four hours, with the help of multiple crews and knowledge of the area from local residents. Two people were treated for minor injuries, sustained while trying to rescue the victim. The incident is under investigation by the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 14 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 633.

Thursday, July 21

Accident: At 4:44 p.m., firefighters from Fall City and Snoqualmie responded to the 32300 block of S.R. 202 for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they determined that one of the two patients needed transport to an area hospital after treatment at the scene.

Friday, July 22

Low blood sugar: At 2:04 a.m., EMT’s responded to Preston with Eastside Fire and Rescue and Bellevue paramedics for a report of a 40-year-old man experiencing low blood sugar. They treated the man with glucose and left him with his family.

Saturday, July 23

Baby with breathing trouble: At 1:59 a.m., EMT’s and Bellevue paramedics responded to the 4300 block of 324th Avenue S.E. where a 1-year-old boy was having breathing difficulty. They evaluated the child and transported him to an area hospital for further treatment.

Sunday, July 24

Unconscious on river bank: At 4 p.m., firefighters from Fall City, Snoqualmie, Eastside Fire and Rescue, and Bellevue paramedics were called to the Snoqualmie River for reports of a 19-year-old man unconscious on the river’s edge. Crews had to work to locate and reach the man. They called for boats from Eastside Fire and the King County Sheriff to remove the patient. He was then transported by private ambulance to an area hospital.

CPR: At 11:12 p.m., emergency personnel from Fall City, Snoqualmie, and Bellevue responded to the 4100 block of S.R. 203, where a 65-year-old woman was reported to be unconscious. Dispatchers started telephone CPR, and aid crews arrived to continue CPR with ALS interventions, but the woman did not survive.

Monday, July 25

Fall: At 7:07 a.m., EMT’s responded to the 4000 block of 324th Avenue S.E. to assist a 64-year-old man who had fallen. He was transported to an area hospital.

Tuesday, July 26

Brush fire: At 4:44 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of a brush fire on S.E. 44th Place and 336th Avenue S.E. They located and extinguished a small grass fire, which was determined to be caused by a lawnmower.

Structure fire: At 5:13 p.m., firefighters from Fall City responded to Snoqualmie for a confirmed residential structure fire. Crews found the seat of the fire quickly, extinguished the fire, and checked for extension. An alert neighbor led to a quick 911 response.
