Area team wins state tournament
he state Special Olympics Tournament was held at Boeing Activity Center in Everett. The Snoqualmie Valley Special Olympics team played two games on Sept. 16, beating Everett 9-5 and South Kitsap 10-6. The final game for first place and the gold medal was held Sunday, Sept. 17. The team beat South Kitsap 8 - 5 to win. They also took first place in the Aug. 5 regional tournament in Issaquah. Front row: Susan Pearson, Jessica Kitz, and Greg Jorgensen.
