With kitten season in full swing, Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) has a great deal for people looking to adopt.

During the month of August, when you adopt one kitten at the normal fee of $100, you can get a second kitten for half off. Regular pet licensing fees apply.

The Animal Services center, which serves all of King County including the Valley, is located in Kent.

“By adopting two kittens, not only are you getting twice the love, but also a pair of playmates for life,” said RASKC Manager Dr. Gene Mueller.

In addition, during the ASPCA/Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, which runs until August 31, RASKC is waiving the adoption fee for adult cats over six months old.

People looking for a canine companion should also hurry down to the Pet Adoption Center. A “discount dogs” special, where adult dogs over six months old can be adopted for just $50, ends soon.

“We’ve saved more than 500 animals’ lives during the first two months of the $100K Challenge,” added Dr. Mueller, “and this is a great time to find a furry friend.”

All cats and dogs adopted from RASKC come spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and have received a veterinary health exam.
