Valley residents looking for a place to celebrate Christmas may attend St. Clare Episcopal Church’s Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. at 8650 Railroad Avenue/Highway 202 in Snoqualmie.

The congregation’s children will perform a Christmas pageant at 5 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 24, telling the story of Jesus’ birth complete with costumes and props. Families with young children are especially encouraged to attend this service.

At 11 p.m. a celebration service of Christmas carols, special gospel readings and great fellowship will attract people of all ages.

Holy Communion will be offered at both services, and all are welcome at the table.

The church invites everyone to begin worshipping with St. Clare in the new year as well, when the church will begin its fifth year of the Godly Play children’s education program. The Montessori-influenced classes use hands-on materials to explain Bible stories during the church’s 10 a.m. worship service. St. Clare dedicated two new Godly Play classrooms a year ago to accommodate the growing number of children attending the program.
