This year’s farcical production is based on Shakespeare’s tragedy “Macbeth,” only no one can say that name because it’s bad luck.

“One of the witches tries to say the name, but the other two do this kind of slapstick routine to silence her,” said show producer Jeremy Robkin, father of the director, Kevin Robkin. “So they agree to just say Mmmbeth.”

Jeremy is a veteran of many CCT Shakespeare adaptations, too.

“Summer Shakespeare is kind of a tradition… but oftentimes for general audiences, it seems kind of inaccessible, because of the language,” he said. “Plus, people don’t want to sit and watch a three- hour play.”

They won’t have to with the hour-long adaptation, set to run at 12:30 p.m. in the Tolt Commons area.

The show is also scheduled for: 7 p.m., Saturday, July 2, at the Chateau Farhner Outdoor Stage, 14340 Batten Rd. N.E., Duvall; 7 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Wolf Den Amphitheater, 12003 322 Ave. N.E. Duvall; 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Chateau Farhner Outdoor Stage; and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at McCormick Park in Duvall, at SandBlast. All performances are free and family friendly.

The “Mmmbeth” cast includes Gary Fahrner as Mmmbeth, MJ Jackson at Lady Mmmbeth, Karen Hendrickson as MacDuff and others, Riley Wilk as Banquo, Kara Ottewell as Queen Duncan, and Anna Carlson, Marcus Wolf, Mary Ward, Wyatt Roetcisoender and Joshua Washburn as various characters.
