Summit at Snoqualmie speciality dinner, 5:30-7 p.m.: Visit Silver Fir Lodge for the last specialty dinner of the season. Menu includes prime rib, roasted garlic mashed, red potatoes, seasonal vegetables and house salad. Register online for an early bird price of $35 or purchase day-of for $40. Those registering online can also add a lift ticket for $27 to take a scenic ride anytime from 2 p.m. to close.

Snoqualmie Valley history session, 7-9 p.m.: Join the Snoqualmie Valley Museum every other Friday this fall to learn more about the history of the Snoqualmie Valley. The Sept. 19 session is about colonization. Events are at Encompass Child Development Center in Snoqualmie.

Songwriting showcase, 9 p.m.: Miller’s in Carnation is hosting a songwriting showcase with local songwriters: Shaun Crawford, a Seattle-based artist from Texas; Phoebe Graves, an indie rock artist raised in the Pacific Northwest; and Seattle native Chad Clibborn (Uncle Chaddo). Halfway to St. Paddy’s celebration: Join Saints and Scholars Irish Pub in Snoqualmie Ridge for a celebration to mark the halfway point to the next St. Patrick’s Day. Visit saintsandscholars.com/events for a full list of events and specials.

Sept. 20

Downhill mountain bike racing, 9 a.m.: The Summit at Snoqualmie continues its series of downhill mountain bike races at The Summit Bike Park. Check in is from 9-10 a.m.; practice runs are from 9:30-10:30 a.m.; race runs are from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; awards are at 2 p.m. A practice lap is required, and competitors can take up to two timed runs, the fastest of which will be counted.

Roots of Duvall walking tour, 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.: The Duvall Historical Society is hosting its last historical walking tour of the season. The event is open to all and begins at Taylor Landing park.

Summit at Snoqualmie live music, 1-3 p.m.: The Summit at Snoqualmie is hosting live music this month for the Shoulder Season Sessions. Bands will play on the plaza at Silver Fir on Sept. 6, 13 and 20. Cascade Cody and the Washington Apples will play Sept. 13. Event is free and open to all ages.

Great Duvall Bake Off, 4 p.m.: Visit Corie’s Cafe in Duvall for the second Great Duvall Bake Off. The theme for this challenge is cakes. Sign-ups for judges and contestants has closed, but audience members are welcome.

Mini sunflower photo sessions: Local photographer Jackie Phairow is offering mini photo sessions at Muddy Boots sunflower farm in Duvall. Each session lasts 20 minutes and is $249 plus tax. Customers will receive seven high-quality images delivered via a personalized online gallery, with the option to purchase additional digital files and printed products. Sept. 21

Fall City Apple Festival and fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The 10th annual Fall City Apple Festival will celebrate the Snoqualmie Valley apple harvest and raise money for military families. Attendees can press apple cider, join in the apple pie contest, shop from dozens of artisan vendors, go for a horse ride, eat from food trucks, listen to music and more. Located at 32925 SE 46th St. Event is free. Proceeds from activity and food sales go to the Northwest Natural Horsemanship Center Family Fund. Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank fundraising luncheon, 12-2 p.m.: The annual Empty Bowls Luncheon and Bingo for a Cause is a collective action to end hunger in the Snoqualmie Valley. The event at North Fork Farm will have food stations featuring local chefs and restaurants. There will also be bingo rounds with prizes. Farm, Forest and Fish Festival, 2-4 p.m.: A free afternoon of art, science, storytelling and music to celebrate the Snoqualmie Valley, hosted by the organizers of March of the Vegetables. Event is at Depot Park in downtown Duvall. The Rotary Club will also have a Peace Picnic at Depot Park from 3-6 p.m.

CarePoint Clinic fundraising benefit, 5-7 p.m.: CarePoint’s annual Healthcare on the Move benefit is an evening of food, drinks, live music and celebration. Guests can tour CarePoint’s mobile unit and learn about CarePoint’s mission. Event is at the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center.
