Novelty Hill Farm fall festival, 5-8 p.m.: Visit Novelty Hill Farm in Duvall every weekend through Oct. 26 for fall fun. Activities include pumpkin picking, a corn maze, farm critters, a trike track, a makers market and fall treats.

October weekdays at Remlinger Farms, 12-5:30 p.m.: Remlinger Farms is hosting fall fun every Thursday and Friday in October without the weekend crowds. Activities include train and roller coaster rides, flying pumpkins, Diggity Diggers, the jump pad and pumpkin picking. Fun park is open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; pumpkin u-pick is open Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $17.49 for kids and $8.75 for adults; kids ages 2 and under get in free.
Oct. 11
Carnation Farms Harvest Market, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Carnation Farms is hosting its annual harvest market in its historic Hippodrome. Enjoy hot food and drinks from the farm’s culinary team, take a history tour around the main grounds with the archivist and pick up goods from local artisan vendors. Admission is free. Pets are not allowed.
Oxbow Farm restoration work party, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation is hosting another restoration work party. Volunteers can help plant native species, remove invasive plants and promote resilient landscapes. Registration is required and can be done by filling out a volunteer application at oxbow.org.
Community Art Day, 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.: Join Northwest Art Center in Duvall for a day of family art projects. Expert guidance will be available. All ages are welcome; parental supervision required for kids ages 14 and under.

Fall City Strums ukulele group, 4-5:30 p.m.: Free ukulele sessions for all ages and skill levels at the Fall City Library. Learn to play in a no-pressure setting. Instruments are available. Event is in partnership with Friends of Fall City Library, Fall City Arts and 4Culture.

Halloween train rides: Join the Northwest Railway Museum for an autumn celebration featuring slightly spooky fun including hot cider, cider press demonstrations, live music, hands-on apple coring and other seasonal activities. Costumes encouraged for visitors of all ages. North Bend departures are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Snoqualmie departures are at 11:00 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $16-32 and can be purchased at trainmuseum.org/SelectEvent.aspx?eventid=1000076.

Oxbow Farm Fresh Flavors Workshop, 4-6 p.m.: Oxbow Farm in Carnation is hosting a family-friendly workshop where attendees can explore the kids’ farm, harvest their own ingredients, turn them into flavorful bite-sized creations and express the emotion and imagination behind their unique recipes. Guided by Environmental Educator Jacob Tracy, this two-hour experience includes a culinary competition to create the most interesting ingredient combination. Duvall mayoral candidate town hall, 6-8 p.m.: Duvall mayoral Candidates Alana McCoy and Amy McHenry will have open conversations about the issues that matter most to the community. Community members can compare their visions for the city, hear their positions on key issues and pose direct questions. Hosted by the Duvall Chamber of Commerce at the Riverview School District Building.
Empower Youth fundraising event, 6-8 p.m.: Empower Youth will have its Give a Night Save a Life fundraising event at Miller’s in Carnation. Remlinger harvest open mic night, 6-8 p.m.: Hosted by the Kennellys at Remlinger Farms, a free open mic night in the brewery. The stage is open to all singers, strummers, storytellers, poets, and performers. Event is free; sign-up starts at 5:30 p.m. Next open mic is Oct. 30.
