Small Business Week: Hosted by the SnoValley Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Week will include daily themes May 4-10 to encourage residents to shop small. Download the Discover Snoqualmie Valley app or refer to the Snoqualmie Valley Record article to learn more.

May 9 & 10

Carnation Farms plant sale, 10 a.m to 4 p.m.: The second weekend of the annual Carnation Farms plant sale. There will be a variety of vegetable, flower and herb starts to choose from.

May 9-11

Duvall Civic Club plant sale, 10 a.m to 4 p.m.: Duvall Civic Club is hosting its 54th annual plant sale at Roney River Ranch. All proceeds will support Duvall events.

May 10

Sip Suds & Si, 6-9 p.m.: North Bend Downtown Foundation’s annual beer and wine walk is back. A variety of downtown North Bend storefronts will have tastings and live music throughout the evening. Tickets are $35 online or $40 at the door and can be purchased at northbenddowntown.org. Event is only for those ages 21 and over.

May 10 & 11

Frisky Girl Farm Plant Sale, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Frisky Girl Farm will be selling a selection of vegetable, flower and herb starts at the Tollgate Farm Park barn in North Bend. Circle River Flowers will also be at the stand with flower starts.

Camlann May Faire & feast, 12-8 p.m.: Camlann Medieval Village in Carnation is kicking off its 2025 season by hosting its May Faire festival and feast dinners. The festival is from 12-5 p.m. each day and tickets are $15. The feasts are from 5-8 p.m. and tickets are $80. For more information and to purchase, visit camlann.org.

Mother’s Day steam train rides: During Mother’s Day weekend, moms ride the Northwest Railway Museum steam train for free with the purchase of a ticket for their child of any age. The round trip train ride begins at either the Snoqualmie or North Bend depot, depending on ticket purchased, and gives a scenic two-hour tour of the Snoqualmie Valley, with a stop at the Train Shed Exhibit Hall. May 11

Mother’s Day alpaca event, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Cascade Rose Farm in Carnation is inviting the community to come see their alpacas at their fluffiest before spring shearing. All visiting moms will receive a free rose and can enter drawings for gift shop prizes. Entree fees include pasture access and treats to give the alpacas.

May 17

Empower Youth Network gala, 4:30-10 p.m.: Reserve your tickets for Empower Youth Network’s annual Heart of the Valley gala. This year’s event will be in the Carnation Farms hippodrome, and proceeds benefit the nonprofit’s programming. Tickets are $150 per person.
