Enjoy the long weekend with several family-friendly events around the Valley.

May 24

Twin Falls group hike, 10 a.m.: Route Step Outdoors, an organization that connects service members and veterans with nature, is hosting a group hike of the Twin Falls trail in North Bend. The group will meet at the North Bend Safeway, 460 SW Mt Si Blvd., and walk to the trailhead. All are welcome.

Snoqualmie Falls photography group, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Seattle Photography Group will be at Snoqualmie Falls practicing long exposure. Leaders of the event will teach how to smooth out water motion, use ND filters and set up your camera for misty waterfall shots. Roots of Duvall walking tour, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The Duvall Historical Society is hosting its first historical walking tour of the season. The event is open to all and begins at Taylor Landing park.

Memorial Day children’s book reading, 10:30 a.m.: Local children’s author Karen Bowen will read her book “The Worn-Out Flag” at The Book Nest. The book teaches children the significance of the American flag and what happens to a flag at the end of its life. Bowen will also walk Book Nest owner Andrea Amstutz through the process of properly retiring her flag.

Antique rummage sale, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Duvall’s Queen Bee Antiques is having its semi-annual rummage sale all Memorial Day weekend. Visit the shop for discounts on new and used goods. There will be 10-50% off all in-store purchases. 15904 Main St. NE.

Fall City Summer Market, 4-7 p.m.: Check out Fall City’s first summer market of the season, centered around the treehouse at Aroma Coffee Co. Markets will be the last Friday of each month May-August. There will be live music, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, artisan vendors, farm vendors and family-friendly activities. Leon Bridges live at Remlinger Farms, 6:30 p.m.: Grammy-winning artist Leon Bridges will be at Remlinger Farms for two nights this month with special guest La Lom. Tickets are available at remlingerfarms.com/leon-bridges.

Flying Wheels Summer Century, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Cascade Bicycle Club’s annual ride through the Snoqualmie Valley will offer 50-mile, 70-mile and 100-mile routes. The event starts and ends in Redmond’s Marymoor Park. Registration is required, available online only and varies in price. Visit cascade.org/rides-events for more information and to register. Carnation Farms historic tour, 1-2 p.m.: Join Carnation Farms on a tour of its museum to see vintage memorabilia and learn about the farm’s long history. The tour is roughly an hour long and open to all. It is free, but it is requested that attendees RSVP ahead of time at carnationfarms.org/events/list.
