Summer is here, and there are a lot of reasons to get outside.

June 27

Friday in the garden, 4:30-6:30 p.m.: Every Friday evening through July, join Erika Laureano Design for wine, light bites and a relaxed shopping experience. These events will have special discounts on items in the shop. Registration is required and can be done at erikalaureanodesign.com/events.

June 28

Snoqualmie Pass block party, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Kick off summer with the Firehouse Block Party at Pass Life. There will be a local artisan vendor village, live music, food, a beer garden and a fundraiser for the Snoqualmie Pass Volunteer Firefighters.

Magic: The Gathering gaming, 12-3 p.m.: An afternoon of card playing, community and craft beer at Big Block Brewing in Carnation. This event is for those ages 21 and up.

Virtual reality Minecraft, 5-8:30 p.m.: North Bend Art and Industry’s Center for Creativity in North Bend will have a class hosted by Don Gronning, owner of Robot U, a robotics enrichment program for kids. Kids ages 6-11 will be able to play from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by those ages 12 and over from 7-8:30 p.m. Registration is $25 per person and can be done at northbendartandindustry.org/all.

June 29

Art market, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Lavender at Stillwater-Misty Valley Farm is hosting an artisan market with several vendors, live music, food and wine tasting. 8328 Carnation-Duvall Rd. NE.

Virtual reality painting class, 3-5 p.m.: North Bend Art and Industry’s Center for Creativity in North Bend will have a class hosted by Don Gronning, owner of Robot U, a robotics enrichment program for kids. The class is described as “an incredibly realistic oil painting experience with no mess, no limits and no material costs.” The class is for those ages 18 and over. Registration is $40 per person and can be done at northbendartandindustry.org/all.

July 4

Carnation Fourth of July: Carnation’s annual July Fourth celebration begins with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. and continues with a 5k run at 8:30 a.m., a vendor village at 10:30 a.m., a parade at 11:30 a.m. and fireworks at 9:45 p.m. For a full schedule and more information, visit carnation4th.org.

Red, White and Boom, 7 p.m.: The annual July Fourth celebration on Snoqualmie Ridge will include food trucks, inflatables, music, field games and other family-friendly activities. The fireworks show begins at approximately 9:45 p.m. The free event is at Snoqualmie Community Park and is hosted by Church on the Ridge. For more information, visit redwhiteboomwa.org.
